I feel so loved :)

So within the week I have had some visitors bearing wonderful gifts for me. My little primary girl Tyler, brought me homemade cookies right out of the oven and a little handmade picture.

One of my best friends Michelle, who i've been friends with since before preschool, brought me some more homemade sugar cookies with all this cute little pipeing on all of them. of course there were only two left when i took the picture, there were just too good NOT to eat.

Then my best friend marissa, made me a cake! It was so cute, and my favorite kind too! Rainbow Chip! It was so cute, it had all of our inside jokes written on it.
but of course we had eaten a strip of it too before i got a picture haha.

Today I got a special package in the mail from my Beautiful and Amazing sister Steph. She is the kindest and most thoughtful person. I got the package that read, from sista steph to kelsie "kel-wray" Bruce. I opened it right away expecting like a package of candy or something, but no. I got candy, lip gloss, super cute earrings, a shirt!, and of course a little card. which said:

Kels, I heard you were pretty sick. sorry I can't be there to make you laugh, watch Madea movies & lift your spirits. But I thought a package might help. Nothing makes me happier these days then a package/letter in the mail. I hope you feel better soon. Know what we are thinking of you & you're in our prayers xoxo Steph.

This made my day! Steph I couldn't ask for a better sister. We get along so great, I can only remember one time that we have ever really had a fight, and that was this year, but it didn't last even 5 minutes haha. I want you to know how much I love you, and how much it means to me that you would think of me, and even send me a freaking package of goodies! You are seriously the best! I love you sooo much!

CAL-i-FOR-nia

Well last week we were in Cali! It was so much fun. We left Layton Sunday morning and ventured on our 12 hour drive to San Francisco! It was so amazing. we stopped in Napa the first night and then went to the winery the next day and sampled wines from around the world. SOO YUMMY

Yeah right.
We sampled CHEESE from around the world. so good.

then we were off to San Fran the next day. WOW
so cool. we drove through Muir woods where the redwoods are and then across the golden gate bridge, down Lomard Street AKA the crooked road and to our condo to check in, (located right in downtown SF) and headed a couple blocks down to H&M my FAVORITE store on the planet earth!

Spent too much money!

Next day we went to fishermans warf to pier 39 so cool! We ate at Bubba Gumps. tastey tastey and so fun.
then off to see WICKED! I had never heard the music to this broadway show or even heard of the story line, so it was a great surprise. Amazing, you totally need to go see it.

Next day we headed down to Solvang which is a little dutch community in the middle of Cali. it was cute. we went to a little resteraunt called the Mustard Seed, and made frieds with the owner who was from jerusalem.
then we decided to go to the "market" next door for some food for the next morning. yeah not a market. it was a liquor store. and as we walked out there were 2 hispanics and a white man standing there with one hand in the pocket of their hoodie (and this is a zip up hoodie mind you) and could totally see the image of a gun. lets just say i walked as quickly as possible without seeming like i knew what they were up to.

we made it safely back to the car as you can tell.

then it was off to san diego the next morning. I should mention that the whole point of this trip was to go see my cousin Abby get married.

so we get there and have fun. I buy a new phone charger since the one i had was left in Napa. Then we do more shopping at H&M yay!

next day we go to the mall again, and go see UP and eat dinner at the california pizza kitchen.

mine was delicious. a bbq chicken pizza.
my parents on the other hand? didn't settle too well.

then the wedding! it was beautiful. so glad we made it.
Ok i will stop talking now and start posting pictures. ENJOY!
Oh and PS If you don't know what a picture is i'm sorry, something is screwed up and i can't see the pictures before i post them, it's just a bunch of numbers and words, so i don't know what the picture is, if i wanted to put a subtititle under it. but the one of me in the skirt is me at H&M. that skirt was all tulle, and cost like $70. if you have any other questions about the pictures just leave a comment and i will let you know :)

Shingles Update

So i know i said i wasn't going to post any nasty pictures of this horrible-ness, but I think i shall do it anyways, just so you guys can see what it is. I of course wont show you the nether region, but here is my back. it's not the prettiest back to begin with, but i'm sure you can look past that and see the ouchiness.

Why me?

I have these....

except in rash form on the entire right side of my body. It started friday in Cali, yes California. my mom and I came to the conclusion that it was probably just a boil from sitting too long in the car / leather seats. But it just kept getting worse. painfulling worse and worse. So yesterday i went to the doc. and he said well it's either shingles or a herpes virus (not the naughty one) but after i got home they started spreading, and shingles we know stay to one side of your body. well that's how it is. my right side is being seriously affected. i'm not going to lie, it's probably the most painful thing i've gone through, and i've gone through quite a bit of pain. so i wont get into the hairy details of it all. but it started down in my groin ( which is probably the worst place to get anything) and has spread up to my stomach and back. OH JOY!
I left you with a picture of shingles on the roof, but if you want to see the real deal you can google it and there will be a rather large amount of pictures for you to gander at.
well i must go and be miserable now.

I am SOO glad Kris Allen won! I was posotive that it was gonna be Adam Lambert, I was so shocked with Ryan called Kris' name! He was definatly the right pick, he is America's boy next door and he is very versitile. Adam was just to Glam Rock for me, a little too much of the same thing. Don't get me wrong i still liked adam a lot, he has and AMAZING voice, but kris was most definatly the better pick for our American Idol.

The greatest gift in the whole round wold!

A few weeks ago I was invited to a "favorite things party" by ChelsI. We got there (haley and i) super happy and excited, there was food, and drinks, and people and fun. the party started and how joyous it was. we were each supposed to bring 4 of our favorite things, then we wrote our name on 4 pieces of paper. we went around and everyone took 4 names out of the bowl, those 4 people got your "favorite thing" well it started off swell. with laughter and happiness. there was body wash, caramels, lipgloss, scenties, books, and gift cards. most of the gift cards were practical. others...well.. were hand made on fibery construction paper, written in marker and then laminated. these 4 gift cards said the following. " good for two home made oven pads, please redeem within the fallowing weeks" as we were getting closer to the end of the circle, i was praying that my name would not get picked for those hot pads, but with my luck my name was called and i went and retrieved my gift card. the next day or so we went to visit chelsi, and i made a loud sarcastic remark about having my gift card for my oven pads. turns out that lady was at the desk right behind me. i was so embarrassed and shocked and scared that she heard me, but i decided to play it out cool and pretend as though those words had not been uttered.
I mysteriously lost this gift card, somewhere. and sadly i did not get a picture of its beauty and marvle. you would've laughed exuberantly (sp.?) but today, about 3 weeks later i came to work and found hot pads stalking me. i was frightened to say the least. here are the pictures of the new member of the household.

then headed to the food court
we got some Chinese food.

we were sitting and talking and such
when out of the corner of our eyes
we see a man shaking the toy vending machine next to us
we think nothing of it really
then we continue eating
we look over once more
and we see a lady shaking it, with visible struggle.
we laugh
i make a remark,
"she should probably stop, she looks ridiculous"
we laugh again
but our laughter had a 3rd party
it's the lady
she keeps laughing while making this remark.
you know, i payed $3 for this toy so i'm going to get it out (or something a long the lines)
and you're probably thinking oh that doesn't sound that bad
well she said it ever so rudely, which i totally deserved for making that statement.
I was SO EMBARRASSED! I just put my head down and finished my sweet and sour chicken in silence.
so word to the wise, keep what you're saying behind someones back, quiet.

Dear phone, I love you, but you are making me nuts! Our relationship is nothing but you playing tricks on me! I think i am typing one thing to my friend, and then i come to find that i sent them some nonsence, some non-words, because some of your keyes wont type and it makes me angry. and then i put you on vibrate so that i don't interupt the work place, and instead you make the dog whistle noise. it hurts my feelings and my ears. and other times, you're little scrolly ball thing that lights up, well, it gets stuck, and i can't use my phone at all, becuase without that track ball, the phone has no life. we have had 14 glorious months together, but i think it's time we break up. now before you start crying, i want you to know that i will still keep you near in my room, but i think it's time i move on. on to something a little more reliable, and "working" i'm sorry.

Hmm maybe an Iphone? Or the Samsung Behold? (: (: (: (:

Red Lips?

So lately i've been obssessed with this blog called "rockstar diaries" Steph got me hooked on it. Man, I think I need help with this one. This girl is from UT but lives in NY, and she is so cute and fun, I just can't help but be jealous of her. anywho. So like i said, i've been looking at her blog all day reading every post from day 1, and i've noticed that she wears red lipstick a lot, and that i really liked it. So I went out and baught me some firey red lipstick! Man i'm loving it! it's hard to get used to because its so bright. but unfortunatly i have very pale lips so it's hard to apply the redness without getting it everywhere, but hopefully i will get the hang of it soon.

St. Jorge

OK so I'm not really in the mood to write a novel about our st george experience so i'm not going to write a lot. rather, i will just list the key points to the trip.
1: We leave Layton
2: We stop in Beaver for a traditional picture sitting on the large rocking chair in front of Chevron.
3: We go see cousin Michelle in Cedar.
4: We make it to St Jorge
5: We are staying with the nicest people on the planet. Lindsay and Kelly Heitz
6: We venture to the red rocks for the Heitz family pictures done my my steph. Check them out at Aubrunsoul.blogspot.com they should be up soon.
7: We go to Pirate Pizza.
8: I get a bloody nose that lasts forever.
9: Go get Dan at the Vegas Airport
10: Go to H&M in Planet Hollywood mall.
11: Go to Excalibur
12: Return to St jorge
13: Go to dinner at made in Brazil.
14: Get another nose bleed that lasts 30 min. single bathroom, people waiting, nose decides to be Ol' faithful.
15: Eat lots of meat
16: get home go to bed.
17: supposed to get on the road early, so that we can get to our family photo shoot at 5:30.
18: forgot to leave early.
19: my nose is bleeding again, almost 40 min. endless amounts of blood.
20: we get all our stuff in the car and are ready to head out at about 11
21: I get another nose bleed that lasts 20 min.
22: kelly gives me tissues, lindsay gives me a plastic bag.
23: we drive home.
24: make it to the photoshoot late
25: family is mad at us.
26: we get beautiful pictures.
27: we go to Arctic circle
28: Zion steals the menu from the table
29: we force her to return it.
30: we go home and sleep.
all in all, the trip wasn't amazing, but it was definatly a memory. and with all that went on we only got two pictures during the trip sadly.
